Senior Health Actuarial Consulting RoleClient-facing health benefits consultant. Closer to client-facing consulting than a reserving cycle role because analysis is presented to clients and the position includes compliance advice and cross-selling.Senior Health actuarial consulting role in New York, NY, serving mid-to-large employer clients. You'll perform retiree health valuations, claims reserving, pricing and plan-design analysis, advise on compliance, and communicate findings directly to clients.RequirementsMust HaveMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics or related fieldMinimum 8 years of experience in retiree health valuationStrongly PreferredASA or FSA credentialsKnowledge of Health & Welfare plan design, pricing strategies, and competitive market practicesStrong analytical, technical, and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills and client service mentalityAttention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritizeAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyConscientious, self-motivated, able to work independently and collaborativelyProject management experience and aptitude to train, mentor, and review work of entry level actuarial analystsUtilize valuation software and programming, Microsoft Office suiteNice To HaveGASB 75 retiree health valuation experienceSkills & DomainTools Excel Domain Retiree health valuation (GASB 75) Health & Welfare plan design and pricing Self-insured claims reserving Acturhire
