Chemical Operator II / Filler II | West Caldwell, NJ | $24-$28/hr

ZING is hiring a Chemical Operator II / Filler II in West Caldwell, NJ! We’re looking for a safety-focused, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a hands-on production environment with chemicals, filling equipment, packaging materials, and specialty products.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $24-$28 per hour , based on experience, with the potential to build a long-term career in chemical manufacturing.

• Operate filling, packaging, and repacking equipment
• Perform product mixtures, specialty fills, and chemical handling assignments
• Handle strong-odor, odor-sensitive, and specialty materials using proper PPE and containment practices
• Verify product identity, lot numbers, labels, weights, fill levels, and packaging
• Prevent cross-contamination, spills, odor transfer, and labeling errors
• Complete equipment cleaning, product changeovers, and routine equipment checks
• Follow GMP, hazmat, chemical handling, safety, and quality procedures
• Identify and escalate leaks, spills, equipment problems, product inconsistencies, and safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
• Assist with training less experienced Fillers when assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous warehouse, chemical handling, filling, repacking, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with odor-sensitive, strong-odor, or specialty chemicals preferred
• Familiarity with pumps, scales, filling equipment, containers, closures, hand tools, and power tools
• Ability to accurately follow written procedures, labels, batch information, and work instructions
• Strong attention to safety, quality, cleanliness, and documentation
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must speak and understand English; Spanish is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical production work, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders
