M’s Fleet Service is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician for a full-time, on-call position. This is a work-from-home, mobile/on-site role with guaranteed hours. We provide all tools, equipment, and a fully equipped service truck . Must be available for 24/7 emergency repairs .
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including brake repair, transmission work, alignment, and suspension adjustments.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic components.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing or repair purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a diesel technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with OEM specifications for various equipment brands including Caterpillar.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with HVAC systems, air brakes, hydraulics, and tire service.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment as required during repairs.
- Knowledge of assembly processes for various mechanical components.
- Strong electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
