COMPENSATION: The hourly range for this position is $23-26.00. Additional compensation opportunities and incentives will be detailed during the interview process. Please note that the range listed above is our good faith estimate of the hiring range for this role. If you are hired at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, experience, and internal equity across the current team. REMOTE WORK: Blue Cross is a hybrid workplace where employees within driving distance of our Berlin, VT office work in the office on Wednesdays with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week. This role will require the employee to be onsite at least two or three days a week beginning in October. During our Open Enrollment period (November 1st to January 15th), there is the potential for extended hours Monday-Friday and possibly Saturdays once a month. Anything over 40 hours is considered overtime.

Sales and Service Consultant Responsibilities:

• Provide marketing, sales, and support, principally telephonically in a sales and service call center for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s Exchange and Medicare markets.
• Support marketing and sales initiatives for individual and group products including, Qualified Health Plans (QHP), Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (Medigap), and Medicare Part D Plans (PDP).
• Responsible for the successful marketing and sales of Blue Cross VT individual and group products to prospective customers
• Responsible for successfully meeting assigned sales and retention quotas for Small Group, Individual QHP, Medicare Supplement, and Medicare Part D (PDP) markets.
• Respond to general inquiries and provide outreach to groups and individuals to support their purchase and product selection including the exchange market, tax implications, and subsidies.
• Attend and/or host educational and sales seminars, community events, and visiting clients in their place of business.

Sales and Service Consultant Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years’ experience required in Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or health insurance sales, customer service, marketing or marketing related duties.
• Valid Vermont driver’s license with good driving record. Willingness to travel throughout Vermont as necessary.
• Current Vermont Producer’s license for Accident and Health required or obtain required license within 3 months of hire into the role. Must maintain license by completing CEUs every 24 months.
