Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week contract assignment in Macon, Georgia. Position Details

Location: Macon, GA Contract Length: 13 Weeks Available Shifts:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (2 openings)
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (1 opening)
• 36 Hours Per Week
• Weekday Scheduling

Compensation

Local RN:

• $45/hour
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,620

Travel RN:

• Taxable Rate: $20/hour
• Meals Stipend: $400/week
• Housing Stipend: $600/week
• Estimated Weekly Package: $1,720

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
• Promote mental wellness through education and patient advocacy
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care

Assignment Overview

This assignment involves working with adults experiencing severe behavioral health crises in both:

• CSC (Crisis Service Center): 24-hour crisis stabilization setting
• CSU (Crisis Stabilization Unit): Short-term behavioral health unit with stays typically up to two weeks

Candidates must be comfortable working with patients who may exhibit:

• Verbal or physical aggression
• Self-injurious behaviors
• Property destruction
• Acute psychiatric symptoms requiring intensive intervention

Minimum Requirements

• Active RN License
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
• Experience managing severe behavioral health crises strongly desired
• TB Screening/PPD or Chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Health Certificate (if required)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
