Interior Horticulturist (Part-time)

Greenery NYC designs, installs, and maintains premium interior plant environments throughout New York City. We combine horticultural expertise, operational excellence, and modern systems to create exceptional botanical spaces for commercial client.We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Interior Horticulturists who take pride in their work, move with urgency, and care deeply about plant health, aesthetics, and client experience. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, value accountability, and are excited by the intersection of horticulture, design, technology, and operational systems.Successful candidates are highly dependable, punctual, observant, and proactive. Because our work is schedule-driven and client-facing, exceptional attendance and timeliness are essential to success in this role.Candidates who are comfortable using digital tools, documenting work, and learning automated horticultural systems will excel on our team. Individuals interested in technology, automation, and process improvement are strongly encouraged to apply.Job Qualifications / RequirementsStrong interest in interior tropical plants and horticultureMinimum 1 year of professional plant care experience OR degree/certification in horticulture or related fieldExceptional reliability, attendance, and punctualityAbility to work independently and maintain high standards without constant supervisionStrong attention to detail, organization, and visual presentationComfortable using smartphones, Google Workspace, and digital documentation systems Interest in automation, systems, technology, or AI-enabled workflows is highly valuedAbility to navigate NYC efficiently using public transitStrong communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving, service-oriented environmentAbility to regularly lift and carry 35+ lbsAbility to safely work on ladders up to 16 feet tallAvailability to work one weekly off-hours shift (6am–2pm)Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday 1/2ResponsibilitiesAssess plant health and individual watering needs to maintain optimal conditionMonitor for pests and implement treatment plans as neededPrune, groom, and clean plants to maintain a polished aesthetic standard Inspect, operate, and troubleshoot automated irrigation and lighting systemsAssist with plant installations, deliveries, staging, and seasonal rotationsSupport living wall installations and specialty botanical projectsMaintain accurate daily service notes, photos, and maintenance records using GoogleWorkspace and company systems Review company calendar, route updates, and communications dailyCare for plant inventory and staging materials at Greenery NYC HQ/studioContribute to operational improvements and maintain consistently high standards across all client spacesParticipate actively in team meetings, training, and company initiativesContinuously develop horticultural knowledge and technical proficiency Deliver a professional, polished client experience at every property visitPay Rate: $25/hourBenefits:Opportunity to join Greenery's health, dental and vision insurance plan120 hours of PTO per year & 7 paid holidaysMonthly Travel Reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr Hunter Super Techs - TurnPoint
