Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires critical thinking, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to excellence in emergency nursing.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in the emergency department.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Perform assessments and make clinical decisions in a timely manner.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.Triage patients based on severity of illness or injury.Manage care for a variety of patient conditions, including trauma and medical emergencies.Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and interventions.Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.QualificationsRegistered Nurse (RN) with an active Indiana or Compact license.Minimum of 1+ years of experience in emergency nursing.Previous charge experience preferred.Experience with Meditech charting system is preferred.ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.Strong skills in managing critical care situations, including drug overdose and care of ventilated patients.Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV sedations and vasopressors.Experience with psychiatric holds and managing suicidal patients is a plus.Job RequirementsAbility to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts).Flexibility to float between multiple locations as needed.Commitment to maintaining a safe and conducive patient care environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.Patient Care DetailsCare for patients across all age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, and adults.Engage with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.If you are a dedicated and skilled RN with a passion for emergency care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients in need.Client Details City Marion State IN
