Occupational Therapist PRN

Occupational Therapist (PRN) – Home Health of Western Colorado Home Health of Western Colorado, part of Volunteers of America National Services, seeks an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a PRN role. Candidates must have pediatric experience. Compensation $48.95 - $53.87 per hour, based on experience. Schedule PRN. Requires travel to client homes. Responsibilities Provide ongoing therapy to clients in a timely manner per physician’s orders. Communicate progress to agency staff and client families. Evaluate and treat clients, maintaining appropriate documentation and complying with state and federal regulations. Participate in agency meetings, conduct in‑service training, and contribute to continuous staff development. Manage and supervise Occupational Therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides in client care. Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate OT services, including scheduling, transportation, filing, and mailing. Initiate ordered treatments, communicate progress reports to physicians, and re‑evaluate clients as needed. Prepare and maintain treatment records, including physician orders, objectives, plans of care, procedures, and progress evaluations. Participate in client care planning conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings. Assist in ensuring OT services continue uninterrupted, including finding support personnel as needed. Participate in infection prevention and safety programs. Perform other duties or special assignments as directed. Qualifications Graduate from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association or be eligible for certification under its requirements. Licensed or registered as an Occupational Therapist in the state. Minimum of one year’s experience as an Occupational Therapist. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation. Experience in pediatric occupational therapy required. Ability to understand and use medical terminology relating to OT. Coordination, dexterity, strength, and endurance to manipulate tools and assist clients. Proficiency with computers for timekeeping, documentation, and training.
