About Your Role This is a hands‑on, full‑time position with day‑to‑day duties that include performing design and sizing of equipment, producing datasheets and specifications, hydraulic calculations and analyses, 3D modeling support, construction drawing reviews, and any other mechanical components used in heavy industrial/manufacturing or oil & gas facilities or required by our clients. Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities Mechanical Engineering Produce equipment datasheets and specifications. Develop and review pipe specifications while ensuring correct pump/hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations. Create pipes, valves, and fittings Bills of Material (BOMs). Perform equipment, pipe, and technical valve evaluations on contractor bid packages. Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers. Construction Documents Produce line and equipment lists. Perform 3D modeling support & isometric reviews. Review construction drawings and documents. Construction Support Perform site walk‑downs, including as‑builts to support construction efforts. Work with contractors to answer RFIs, produce project cost and bid packages, and mechanical scope of work documents. Stress Analysis Develop models in CAESAR II to perform stress analysis. Develop stress analysis reports. Assist with other duties as assigned. Work Hours This position works 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. 40 Hour Work Week Monday through Friday, hours may vary with the workload. Evenings/Weekends/OT As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position. Professional Engineer License required. Bachelor’s Degree required. This role will provide preliminary design and cost estimates by estimating mechanical quantities and construction costs, as well as producing project cost estimates. Acts as Engineer‑of‑Record and reviews/seals designs created by other team members, and assists with training/mentoring less experienced engineers and designers. Possesses competent job knowledge and can adapt to changes in the work environment. Specialized Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Problem‑solving skills to resolve simple problems quickly and effectively. Self‑direction and responsibility for own tasks, deliverables, and timelines. Leadership skills and some general experience leading work groups or task forces in specific projects. Competent user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks. Must have a valid, active driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record. Supervisory Expectations The position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members. Independence of Action Supervisor/manager closely monitors work; detailed instructions and procedures are generally provided. Physical Demands and Work Environment The work environment is the typical office environment. The employee must complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, clients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others. Employee must sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
