Posting Details Job Title: Radiology CT Tech / UKHC Requisition Number: RE54317 Working Title: CT Technologist – Good Samaritan Department: H6250 Imaging Services Location: Lexington, KY Grade Level: 10 Salary Range: $29.95 – $39.10 per hour Position Type: Staff, Full‑Time Required Education: AA Required Experience: 0 years related experience Required Licenses/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Kentucky State Radiation Operators License (at time of hire) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire Computed Tomography (CT) certification within one year of hire date Physical Requirements This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; working in confined spaces; occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions. It also involves risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to radiation, burns, cuts, blood‑borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative or violent individuals. Shift Thursday/Friday 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, every other weekend 6:30 am – 7:00 pm (equates to 3 12‑hour shifts, 0.9 FTE) Job Summary and Responsibilities The CT Technologist provides CT imaging for patients to assist physicians in expediting needed care. Quality, efficiency, and service excellence are essential. Duties include: Performing diagnostic and interventional procedures per department protocols. Providing feedback on images for improvement as needed. Addressing customer needs appropriately according to age‑specific, service‑specific, and disease‑specific criteria. Utilizing proper procedures for identifying patients. Maintaining patient efficiency by spending appropriate time on each task and interaction. Adhering to UK HealthCare Values during interactions with patients, coworkers, and physicians. Maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Assisting in a QA review to maintain professional standards for themselves and other technologists. Compensation Starting pay is $29.95 per hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent patient care skills. Technical and CT knowledge. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of CT experience.
