Drives research projects scientifically and determines the course of research as evidenced by leadership, obtaining funding, writing, or other recognition. May not necessarily receive independent resources; however, their contribution is essential to the conceptual/scientific success of the project. May not necessarily receive independent resources; however, their contribution is essential to the conceptual/scientific success of the project.The Research Scientist will support the Principal Investigator in the George A. “Doc” Lopez, MD Laboratory for Regenerative Cell Therapy within the Department of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. This position will play a central role in establishing and advancing the laboratory’s electrophysiology and animal research capabilities. The research scientist must have a PhD in Neuroscience, or Biology, must be able to work independently as needed. The research scientist possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and works well as part of a team.
