Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (shifts may vary)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $91 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for adult outpatient populations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear goals
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members for coordinated care
• Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs for optimal recovery
• Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation
• Entry-level master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license

Education

• Entry level qualifying master’s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• OR Graduate from an APTA approved program of Physical Therapy at the master's or bachelor’s level with 2 years proven work and Continuing Education experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing practices
