Work Environment This remote position offers the flexibility of telehealth services, enabling therapists to conduct sessions from the comfort of their own homes while still maintaining a strong link with the school community. The practice is equipped with advanced telehealth technologies and administrative support to streamline the work process. Key Responsibilities Conduct individual and couples therapy sessions with a diverse client base, ensuring that clients receive tailored therapeutic approaches that meet their unique needs. Complete all necessary documentation, including session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled deadlines. Schedule ongoing appointments and manage an organized calendar to ensure consistent client follow-up and engagement. Collaborate with educational staff, including teachers and counselors, to address student needs and facilitate referrals for additional support as required. Utilize a billing service for claims processing, keeping client accounts organized, and performing benefit and eligibility checks. Patient Population / Client Focus This position primarily focuses on working with children, adolescents, and their families within a school setting. The therapist should be prepared to engage with a range of clinical presentations, including stress, anxiety, behavioral issues, and relationship challenges. Understanding the dynamics of school-related stressors and working closely with educators is crucial for achieving positive outcomes. Qualifications A valid and active LCSW license to practice independently in the state of Illinois. A degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. Demonstrated professionalism, effective therapeutic boundaries, organizational skills, and time-management expertise. Self-motivated with a passion for ongoing professional development and maintaining cultural competency in clinical practice. A minimum of 20-25 hours of availability per week with at least two evenings per week required for scheduling sessions. Preferred Experience Clinical experience with couples therapy is highly desirable and will be taken into consideration during the hiring process. Experience working within school systems or with school-aged children is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and related technologies is beneficial. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range between $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus potential bonuses. Competitive compensation as a W2 employee, with the flexibility to create a personalized work schedule.
