Human Resources Intern – Jupiter, FL Work Type: Part Time • Location: Palm Beach • Category: Human Resources, Office/Administrative/Fiscal Support • Department: 37023000 - SR-HUMAN RESOURCES The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology seeks a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a paid internship and to support HR operations in a biomedical research and academic environment. The intern will gain hands‑on experience across HR processes, employee support, international services, and process improvement projects. Responsibilities Support HR administrative functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and records management. Assist with special projects to improve HR processes, workflows, and overall service for the Institute community. Support international services with immigration-related HR processes as needed. Collaborate with HR team members to identify opportunities for process improvement. Research, compile, and analyze HR-related information, data, and inquiries. Monitor and triage incoming HR emails and route requests to the appropriate team member. Expected Salary $20-$22 per hour. Required Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Interest in human resources, higher education, biomedical research administration, or related fields. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information with professionalism. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. Willingness to learn new systems and processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources management. Interest in pursuing a career in HR, higher education administration, research administration, or related fields. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, or other office software. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow established processes. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. This is an in-person position located at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology in Jupiter, Florida.
