Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.Basic QualificationsPost Secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start.Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C++Proficient in either MATLAB or PythonCandidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:o Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithmso Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulationso Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformationsDesired SkillsProficiency with Python and LinuxExperience with Agile developmentExperience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as GitStrong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills**Active Secret ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
