Senior Environmental Remediation Lead

Environmental Specialist 3 Ohio EPA invites applications for the role of Environmental Specialist with the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) to work at the Northeast District Office in Summit County. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and coordinate technical staff to support DERR’s cleanup and remediation efforts across Ohio. Peer‑review technical work and project deliverables ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Act as site coordinator, guiding cleanup activities on large and complex environmental projects. Collaborate with other divisions, agencies, local governments, and community groups to advance program goals. Represent DERR in public forums, settlement discussions, and training events; provide technical assistance to the regulated community, stakeholders, and the public. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years relevant programmatic experience; or a combination of environmental discipline education and equivalent experience. Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in an environmentally‑related discipline with at least 3 years of programmatic experience. Or 2 years of relevant programmatic experience as an Environmental Supervisor (NOC 85865). Or equivalent qualifications to meet the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
