Location: St. Johnsbury, VT
Pay: $18.00–$25.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (1st Shift)
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire (based on experience)

Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to help ensure products meet customer specifications, company standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading blueprints, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections on incoming raw materials, purchased components, and outside vendor parts.
- Conduct in-process, first article, final product, and shipping dock inspections.
- Audit manufacturing processes throughout production, including first-piece, setup, routing, safety, and 5S audits.
- Verify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment accurately.
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation within company systems.
- Process returned materials, including inspections, documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help maintain ISO quality standards and compliance.
- Train production personnel on inspection methods and quality procedures as needed.
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous quality control or manufacturing inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication and machining blueprints.
- Basic understanding of GD&T is preferred.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and manufacturing software/databases.
- Strong math, reading, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to producing quality work.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, and carry materials.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Perform repetitive visual inspections and use precision measuring instruments throughout the workday.
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Competitive pay based on experience ($18.00–$25.00/hour)
