Registered Nurse - PACU

Location: Medical City Heart & Spine, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will provide critical care to patients recovering from surgery. This position requires a strong background in critical care and PACU nursing, with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Provide post-operative care to patients, monitoring them for any complications.
• Assist in performing typical procedures such as cardiac cath, ablation, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, laminectomies, and joint replacements.
• Utilize critical care equipment including LVADs, A-lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators.
• Document patient information and care using Meditech EMR system.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN License
• ACLS certification required
• Critical Care ICU experience (mandatory)
• PACU experience (mandatory)
• Cardiac experience or Ortho/Neuro experience preferred
