This position will be housed in the Department of Clinical Sciences located on the Veterinary Health Campus of Colorado State University. The neurology service at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a broad array of diseases that either primarily or secondarily affect the nervous system. Work authorization visa sponsorship may be available based on the specific situation for the selected final candidate.A signing bonus may be considered for successful candidates. ## Essential Job DutiesTeaching 40-45%* Clinical: Provide instruction to 3rd and 4th-year Veterinary Medical Students in the clinical environment. Participate in the training of neurology residents and small animal interns on rotation through the neurology service.* Didactic: Provide lecture and laboratory instruction in the DVM curriculum on topics related to neurologyService and Outreach 40-45%* Position will have an up to a 34-week clinical appointment (range 30 – 34) in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (small animal focused but opportunities to partner with other species management are available)* Provide consultation for veterinarians in Colorado and other states* Develop and participate in professional continuing education for veterinariansResearch 5-20%* Continuing (non-tenure) track faculty are expected to collaborate with other faculty within or external to the service on research projects and contribute to publication of new information.
