Job Posting — Direct Service Professional (DSP) – Expert (PRN/On-Call)

Payrate: $20-$24 an hr

Location: Ebensburg, PA 15931 (On-site)
Job Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: PRN / On-call (24-hour care facility; shifts vary)
Openings: 6
Training:  4 weeks required (typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM ) before PRN/on-call scheduling begins

About the Role

We’re hiring  Direct Service Professionals (DSP) – Expert to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a 24-hour residential care setting . This is a PRN/on-call role—shifts become available via a  one-call system , and staff can call in to accept open shifts.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Support daily living services including  self-care, socialization, and health maintenance based on each individual’s  IHP/ISP (Individual Habilitation/Support Plan)
• Help implement training plans and supplemental procedures to support active treatment goals
• Document services and progress in unit records and report updates to the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
• Participate as an IDT member—communicate individual strengths, needs, and progress
• Maintain individual privacy, dignity, and rights; act as a role-model employee following policies/procedures
• Provide choice-based support while balancing safety and opportunities for growth
• Assist with unit operations and other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of paid experience providing  direct care + habilitative services to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Successful completion of the  Client Aide Trainee Program
• Current  BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to work  on-site in a 24-hour care facility environment
