Packaging Lead – Direct Hire

A well-established food manufacturing company in West Phoenix is looking for a dependable and hands-on Packaging Lead to support daily packaging operations. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering a consistent daytime schedule, long-term stability, and the opportunity to grow your leadership experience.

As the Packaging Lead, you will work alongside the production team while helping keep employees organized, productive, and focused on quality, safety, and production goals.

Packaging Lead Job Duties

• Lead and support employees throughout the packaging area to ensure daily production goals are met.
• Assign tasks and help keep the team organized throughout the shift.
• Monitor packaging quality and ensure products meet company standards.
• Ensure employees follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with training and coaching new and existing employees.
• Communicate production issues, staffing needs, and employee concerns to supervisors and management.
• Help troubleshoot minor production or packaging issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work alongside the team as needed to keep production moving efficiently.
• Help ensure proper documentation and production procedures are followed.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• During peak production periods, employees may be required to work 6 days per week.
• Candidates must be flexible to work additional days and overtime when production demands require it.

Packaging Lead Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in packaging, production, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Previous lead or leadership experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach employees and provide direction throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow and enforce GMP, food safety, quality, and safety procedures.
• Dependable attendance and ability to consistently report for a 4:00 AM start time.
• Flexible to work a 6-day schedule during peak production periods.
• Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods.
