Job Opportunity: On-Call Caregiver (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)

Location: Oakland, Macomb, and East Wayne Counties

Pay Rate: $16–$19/hour (based on experience and availability)

We are seeking experienced, reliable, and caring On-Call Caregivers to join our team. This is a part-time, flexible position ideal for someone who values variety, independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As an on-call caregiver, you’ll provide coverage across Oakland, Macomb, and East Wayne Counties, at the initiation of care or stepping in when clients need you most.

• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, mobility support, toileting)
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Home Helpers team
• Document care activities and follow care plans with accuracy
• Be available for flexible, oncall shifts (days, evenings, weekends as needed)
What We’re Looking For
• Caring heart and genuine passion for helping others
• Experience in caregiving (CNA/HHA preferred)
• Excellent communication skills with the team and clients — clear, compassionate, and reliable
• Dependability and flexibility to cover shifts on short notice
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and meet state requirements
