Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med-Surg unit with a focus on cardiac care. The ideal candidate must possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Unit Specifics Number of Beds: 30 Patient Ratios: 1:6 Staffing Description: 6 nurses per shift with a dedicated charge nurse. Unit secretary on dayshift. 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per shift. Cardiac Medications: Titrated: Cardizem, Heparin Non-titratable: Dopamine, Dobutamine, Amiodarone Equipment: GE telemetry, Rover, portable WOWs, Welch-Allen VS machine. Documentation System: Meditech Floating Policy: Rotation with other travel nurses. Scheduling Requirements Candidates are required to work three full 12-hour shifts with 3-4 weekend shifts within a 4-week scheduling period. Patient Experience Requirements Candidates should be familiar with NRC standards for patient experience. Qualifications Must have experience in Med-Surg nursing. Knowledge of cardiac medications and telemetry. Certified in ACLS, BLS, and EKG/cardiac rhythm identification. Advanced skills in ACLS are required. Dress Code Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs.
