Senior Sterile Processing Technician *Per Diem* - Providence Anchorage (Hiring Immediately)

We are hiring for a Senior Sterile Processing Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska!

Position is per diem, 0.01 FTE, variable shift, hours as need.

Responsible for cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and equipment. Prepares Operating Room case carts. Serves as department expert for designated service line. Functions as preceptor and resource to new SPD staff. Works with OR Team Leaders and House Department management to make changes to instrument sets. Provides annual inservice to SPD staff on a service line related topic. Assists Instrument Inventory Coordinator with service line instrumentation. Fills in as Shift Lead SPD Technician as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• 2 years of Experience in sterile processing.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
