Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Business Partner role based in Rochester, NY. The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to organizational leaders, providing guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. Daily responsibilities include advising on HR policies and procedures, overseeing employee relations matters, supporting performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws. The role will also involve collaborating on recruitment and onboarding efforts, coaching supervisors on best practices, and contributing to HR initiatives that support engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. The Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with cross-functional teams to align HR strategies with Holy Childhood’s mission and values. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Human Resources (HR) practices and HR policies, with experience implementing and communicating them across an organization. Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting a respectful, inclusive work environment. Working understanding of labor and employment law, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk in HR processes and decisions. Experience with performance management, including goal setting, feedback, evaluation processes, and support for staff development. Relevant bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders and staff, with strong interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills. Prior experience in a non-profit, human services, or education setting supporting individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
