Mission As a Saw Operator, you are responsible for providing machining areas with workable material and performing daily inventory transactions. Based on a route sheet process that specifies the drawing of the part and the operations to be performed, enters the equipment settings and calls up the machining program. Arranges the part, initiates, then supervises the production operation, ensuring that it runs smoothly and in accordance with technical requirements. Ensures the flow and/or straightens parts in line with operational procedures and recommendations regarding safety and the environment. During production, uses suitable measuring instruments to conduct self-checks and/or cross-checks based on instruction sheets. Signal any quality issues. Ensures the required traceability (product/process) and reports on his/her work. Takes part in improvement groups, as well as the induction and training of colleagues in equipment use. Carries out first-level maintenance on equipment and keeps his/her workspace clean and tidy. Detects and reports unsafe situations. Moving and manipulating large graphite blocks with a fork truck. Operating band saws and other medium equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to work well within a team. Promote, demonstrate, and emphasize safety. Visually inspect parts and complete inspection documentation. Conducts oneself as a model Mersen employee and treats employees with courtesy and respect. Supports Mersen company policies, rules, and core values. Requirements Basic math skills and ability to work with decimals and fractions. Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Good interpersonal skills. Proficient with basic measuring tools.
