Job Summary Job Type: Full Time Job Shift: Night This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis and at the unit level. They supervise staff as appropriate, support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, maintain staff competency, and manage resources related to patient care. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. Take overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control aiming for optimal discharge outcomes. Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administer all medications safely and timely per hospital policy. Perform HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility during emergency and/or disaster. Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to policies and procedures for each code. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing. Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of RN experience for PRN status. Preferred: Recent acute care experience. Certifications Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice nursing as required by law or regulation in the state of practice; AHA BLS; and, if applicable, AHA ACLS, PALS, or NRP as per corporate policy.
