The platform serves around 12 million active customers.What makes this one differentThere are two distinct pieces of infrastructure to own: the largest IoT hardware network in the independent grocery space, deployed across stores nationwide, and a substantial AWS backbone. You'd spend the first few months on the IoT side before moving across to the cloud estate. Few DevOps roles offer both.What you'll doOwn, design, build and maintain infrastructure across cloud-based and on-premise IoT environments, ensuring reliability, security and scalabilityDevelop tooling to improve the deployment, management and monitoring of customer premise equipment, IoT devices and backend systemsDrive system architecture and modernisation projects from design through to production operationsEnhance observability across infrastructure and devices, using both custom tooling and off-the-shelf offeringsImplement secure connectivity for resilient device-to-cloud communicationMentor teammates and set the bar on infrastructure engineering practiceWhat you'll need5+ years in infrastructure engineering, SRE or DevOps, with a strong Linux sysadmin foundationStrong Linux and networking knowledge: Docker, firewalls, load balancers, VPNsSolid background in monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systemsPython for building infrastructure toolingHands-on expertise across a range of AWS servicesProven ability to manage and secure hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructureInfrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CDK or similarBSc in Computer Science or equivalentNice to haveManaging servers or IoT devices at scaleAWS IoT offerings, particularly Greengrass v2Secure infrastructure design practiceThe environmentAgentic development is standard here, so you'd be governing agents responsibly in production rather than arguing about whether to adopt them.
