Lead Commercial Producer

$200,000-300,000 base + benefits + commission + equity | Depending on experience (Total comp could be $500k). Rosella is an AI-native commercial insurance brokerage, backed by Peak XV (formerly Sequoia APAC) and Intact Ventures. We're not replacing brokers with technology, we're building the platform for the best ones. We're scaling to 40+ producers over the next 12 months, then 100s by Y2. You'll be the person who brings the next generation of talent into the industry. The Role Producer-player-coach. You carry a personal book, sit on the floor with the team, and coach every producer on our roster. You're the operator who gets new producers from "signed the offer" to "validated and scaling" faster than they would anywhere else. You’ll run the daily rhythm: pipeline reviews, call coaching, roleplay, deal strategy. You close your own business alongside them, because the team has to see you do it. What You’ll Own Closer: You will be brought along to deals that junior producers bring in so you can close. Coaching the floor. Call reviews, 1:1s, roleplay, deal strategy. Real coaching on a real cadence. Ramp and validation. The onboarding-to-validation path. Team leads. As we scale from 15 to 40 producers, build the team-lead layer underneath you and hand off coaching capacity. Performance management. Call it early. No passengers. Requirements 5+ years in commercial insurance sales with a provable production track record (premium placed, retention, close rates). Elite closer Experience across multiple industries. You've quoted and closed across several verticals (construction, transportation, habitational) and understand how coverage, carriers, and pricing differ across each. Systems thinker. Sales is a repeatable process, not an art form. Technology-forward. Comfortable with AI tools and modern CRMs. "Insurance has to be done the old way" is a disqualifier. Nice to Have CIC, CPCU, or progress toward either. Experience running a team inside a fast-growing independent brokerage. Compensation Competitive base plus personal production commission.
