Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The department has 5 scanners, including 1 PET. Staff will not be required to float or cover other areas. The job involves performing a range of Nuclear Medicine scans for infants through adults, and you will not be working alone. You must have 1 year of experience. First time travelers and duos are accepted. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is 20. The EMR system used is Cerner, and the PACS is Siemens/SECTRA. Department-specific equipment includes Siemens machinery. There are no Registered Radiology Assistants utilized. There is 24/7 organizational coverage by radiologists. The ability to start IVs is a mandatory requirement. Staff will not have self-scheduling or block scheduling options. Scheduling may involve being the only technician in the department depending on the shift. Weekend and holiday requirements will be on an on-call basis, depending on rotation. There is a call or standby requirement with a response time obligation. Scrubs are not provided, and there is no assigned color for scrubs. Department-specific orientation may take up to 1 week, involving computer access, organizational checklists, and hands-on training with a colleague. All clinicians must clock in and out when on-site.
