Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens role supporting a Level II Trauma Emergency Department in Muskogee, Oklahoma. This opportunity involves providing emergency care within a trauma-capable environment, featuring dedicated trauma bays, critical care rooms, and monitored exam rooms, all supported by Epic EMR.

• Ongoing Coverage
• Trauma Level II ED
• Approximately 75,000 annual patient visits
• ED beds: 4 trauma bays, 12 critical care rooms, 32 monitored exam rooms (including 4 psych-specific)
• 5 triage stations, 7 fast track bays, decontamination room
• Trauma Emergency Center admission rate: 40%
• EMR: Epic
• Resident rotations through ED
• APP coverage: 36 hours per week
• Physician coverage: 80 hours per week
• APP shifts: 8:00–20:00, 12:00–00:00, 09:00–21:00 (Triage shift)

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
• Management of trauma and medical presentations within trauma level II scope
• Procedures standard for trauma coverage
• Documentation within Epic EMR

Practice Environment
This emergency department serves as a regional trauma referral center with trauma and critical care capabilities. The environment supports trauma and emergency care with dedicated physician and APP coverage aligned with operational hours, utilizing Epic EMR to facilitate efficient workflows.

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma medical license
• DEA Registration
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
• Board Eligible with current certification rolling
• Clinical experience and procedures standard for trauma coverage
