TIG Welder

This role focuses on TIG and MIG welding, polishing, grinding, and deburring custom metal products used in electrical enclosure solutions. You will work with a variety of metals and thicknesses to produce high-quality, finished components that meet precise specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum materials ranging from 16-gauge to 10-gauge thickness.
  • Polish, grind, and deburr finished products to achieve smooth, clean, and visually appealing welds and surfaces.
  • Clean up all welds to meet quality, safety, and appearance standards before products move to the next stage of production.
  • Assist with welding stainless steel, cold rolled steel, and aluminum components as needed to support production demands.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for fabrication, finishing, and assembly tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or basic drawings to understand weld locations, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with electrical enclosure components or similar fabricated products.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, finished welds and surfaces.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a production team.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The role is based in a non-climate-controlled production facility where you will work around welding equipment, fabrication tools, hand tools, and power tools. The environment is hands-on and shop-focused, with typical fabrication noise and activity levels. You should be comfortable working on your feet, handling metal materials, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
