Associate Clinical Experience (ACE) Intern - Summer 2027
Medtronic
Medtronic seeks students pursuing biomedical engineering degrees to intern in clinical settings during summer 2027, supporting cardiac procedures in hospitals alongside field professionals. The full-time summer role (10-11 weeks) transitions to part-time during the following academic year, designed as a pipeline for future clinical specialist positions.
Responsibilities
- Support hospital-based cardiac procedures and electrophysiology lab activities under clinical specialist guidance
- Observe and assist with advanced cardiac procedures and patient care delivery
- Complete foundational training on cardiac anatomy, procedures, technology, and patient care protocols
- Collaborate with field-based clinical teams to develop problem-solving and communication skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Currently authorized to work in United States; no visa sponsorship available
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation within assigned region
- Ability to commit full-time (40 hours/week) June-August and part-time (4-10 hours/week) during academic year
- Willingness to work in hospital and clinical environments, observe live medical procedures
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
