Principal Signal Processing Engineer - Cardiac Ablation Solutions

Medtronic seeks a Principal Signal Processing Engineer to develop algorithms and software for cardiac ablation procedures. The role involves designing high-performance, high-reliability signal processing code for medical devices while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in Newton, Massachusetts or Mounds View, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test signal processing algorithms for high-performance medical device code
Collaborate with hardware engineering on electronics and firmware supporting signal processing
Manage signal processing pipelines within cardiac ablation software products
Perform performance verification and validation of algorithms and computational systems
Analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to inform design and verification decisions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 5+ years, or PhD plus 3+ years
Deep understanding of signal processing fundamentals including filter design and statistics
Experience with machine learning development, dataset annotation, model deployment in production
Proficiency with Python and C++ programming languages
Experience developing on Linux operating systems
Hands-on R&D experience with custom or prototype hardware
Ability to work in agile development environments
