Temporary Product Development Assistant - Apparel (Johnston & Murphy)

The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Apparel Product Development Assistant to support the Johnston & Murphy Apparel Team. This role will focus on coordinating samples, managing development tracking, and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure seasonal timelines are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. How You Will Make an Impact Support the product development team in executing seasonal timelines from initial development through production Coordinate sample submissions, tracking, and approvals throughout the development process Maintain and update seasonal development charts and track proto and fit samples Manage sample logistics, including organization, follow-up, and communication with vendors Assist with preparing for fittings and documenting updates from technical design reviews Communicate development updates to internal teams and external partners Support fabric, trim, and sample approvals in partnership with cross-functional teams Provide general administrative and operational support to the product development team Experience and Skill's You'll Need to Have Bachelor's degree or relevant experience (coursework or internship experience) in apparel, product development or technical design preferred Basic understanding of garment construction and product lifecycle processes is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and collaboration skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PLM or ERP systems is a plus Additional Details Temporary assignment (duration: 3-6 months) Full-Time hours during assignment period Opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an established apparel brand. #J-18808-Ljbffr Genesco Inc
