Job Details Job Title: Data Center Supervisor – Ktting Location: USA – Bridgeport, 48809 Al-227 Division: Solutions Time Type: Full Time Position Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Responsibilities Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and assure continuous improvement. Effectively keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect operations. Ensure development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies and guidelines, and manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals. Compliance with terms outlined in the site’s operating agreement with the client. Implement and report on ongoing cost‑saving measures; provide ideas and suggestions for more efficient operations. Meet all client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to fairly and equitably supervise, counsel, and where needed discipline team members, and assist in human‑resources duties such as hiring and training. Participate in performance‑evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and other HR activities. Take overall training and evaluation responsibilities for warehouse staff. Plan the daily work schedule by reviewing existing work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions; assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources; assign duties to appropriate warehouse staff. Review pending jobs or trends, plan for reorganization of warehouse space, and make needed changes in levels of supplies, equipment, or staffing. Train new staff in assigned duties or delegate training responsibilities to experienced team members; assess progress of trainees and add additional duties as appropriate. Keep informed of quantity and quality of jobs being performed throughout the day, providing guidance and advice as necessary. Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members acting as leads for lower‑level staff; keep abreast of progress or problems. Keep the manager advised of progress or problems requiring attention on a daily basis; hold regular meetings with warehouse staff to assess overall status and discuss improvement ideas. Assist in the physical operations as needed. Deliver results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time. Maintain high motivation in team members to focus on providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members. Provide input and conduct annual performance reviews for team members. Support adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), both corporate and client‑specific. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics or distribution environment. Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role. Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred). Completion of a forklift training program. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), RF scanners, and WMS functions. English language proficiency (reading, writing, verbal). Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, or other related duties. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, leadership, supervision, and planning skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, and adapt to change. Willingness to work overtime as dictated by business and in unregulated temperatures. Physical Demands Bending (occasionally) Walking, standing, lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling frequently; ability to lift 11‑20 pounds, reach above shoulder, squat or kneel. Constant sitting or standing as required by the role. Work Environment The employee is rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range is not specified; compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and location.
