In this role, you'll provide top-notch service at the meat and seafood counter, restock and rotate product on the sales floor, and help keep our department running smoothly. From special orders to food safety standards, you'll play a key role in creating a department guests trust and return to again and again.

As a Meat Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver helpful service by providing exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
• Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies.
• Honor commitments with regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Collaborate with the team by performing other duties as assigned.

To succeed as a Festival Foods Meat Clerk, you should have:

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Food safety knowledge, including proper equipment usage (like slicers) and inventory practices.
• Ability to multitask and stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
• A safety mindset with an understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them. This role requires proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.

• Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
• Full range of upper body motion
• Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures such as freezers, coolers, kitchens, and sales floor
• Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
