Standard Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading Business Readiness Deployment activities for the MFC 1LMX initiative. Priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are currently affiliated with the Enterprise Operations' Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation (EBDT) organization.

• Conduct Readiness Assessments across functional areas to identify gaps in people, process, and technology before go-live.
• Maintain a Business Readiness Plan that includes training, communications, data-migration, cut-over, hyper-care, and post-deployment support.
• Support Data Cleansing, Cutover, and Hypercare activities, ensuring data integrity, system stability, and rapid issue resolution during and after launch.
• Monitor Readiness KPIs (e.g., % of users trained, issue resolution time, adoption rates) and report status to senior leadership.
• Lead the intake, prioritization, and scheduling of MFC 1LMX new-demand requests and software/feature releases; collaborate enterprise stakeholders to align release windows with business readiness activities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

• Act as central liaison among IT, business SMEs, 1LMX Enterprise teams, and MFC executives.
• Synthesize data from multiple domains to inform decision-making and maintain cohesive execution.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of transformation or project-management experience in defense, aerospace, or similarly complex environments.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, mission-critical settings while juggling competing priorities.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, consensus building, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience leading change-management and user-adoption initiatives for new systems or processes.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills; ability to keep projects on schedule.
• Comfortable interacting with multiple departments and leadership levels.
• High technical aptitude; quick learner of new processes/technologies.
• Track record of problem-solving, issue resolution, and delivering results.

Desired Skills

• Advanced proficiency with project-management tools (MS Project, JIRA, OpenPlan) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of change-management frameworks (Prosci, ADKAR) and user-adoption strategies.
• Familiarity with key MFC functional stakeholders and their processes.
• Expertise in JIRA for tracking tasks, risks, and backlog items.
• Proficiency in data-analysis and visualization (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for status reporting and readiness metrics.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $106600.00 - $198000.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $95900.00 - $178100.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $85300.00 - $158300.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $76700.00 - $142500.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.
