Facilities Assistant: Full-time

~ This position is responsible for maintaining and inspecting lease spaces, open property, buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, and grounds. Assumes direct responsibility for maintenance of assigned areas. Performs preventative maintenance, making minor repairs, and supervising, directing, and assisting outside service personnel and vendors as needed. Reports major repair and maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.

Must be available to provide emergency 24/7-hour on-call service as required.

TRAVEL

This position will travel frequently to address maintenance requests to all branches within the Kemba Credit Union network in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Completes inspections tests while maintaining logs and records reflecting the results.

Performs maintenance on all security systems and door locks.

Performs minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhauling.

Provides assistance and direction on outside service and repair work, and assists outside representatives in repairing building equipment.

Provides emergency 24-hour on-call service as required.

Completes assigned maintenance functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and ADA/OSHA regulations.

1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenace procedures.

Basic understanding of blueprints and the operation of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, and plumbing equipment.

One year to three years of previous maintenance experience required.

Financial institution equipment experience preferred (Drive-Thru/CCTV/Alarms/Locks).

Good mechanical and problem solving abilities.

Able to operate drills, electrical tools, meters, timers, hand tools, and all related machinery.
