Job Description Primary Care & Urgent Care Location: 11225 Employment Type: Per Diem Schedule: Flexible/Variable About Us We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) to join our primary and urgent care team. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages and is comfortable treating both routine medical concerns and acute illnesses and injuries. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with primary care and urgent care needs. Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations. Develop individualized treatment and care plans. Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory studies. Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and applicable state regulations. Perform common office-based procedures as appropriate to training and scope of practice. Perform venipuncture and collect specimens when clinically indicated. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care. Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and routine primary care conditions. Recognize conditions requiring physician consultation, specialist referral, or emergency care. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records. Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals. Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care. Follow all applicable clinical, regulatory, and safety standards. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Physician Assistant certification/licensure Current state PA license, if applicable Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture Experience with blood draws, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures Experience in primary care, urgent care, family medicine, or a similar clinical setting BLS/CPR certification Experience performing common outpatient procedures Ideal Candidate We are looking for a PA who is clinically confident, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable managing a diverse patient population.
