Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Lee County MS area is seeking Food Production Supervisor to join their team! This customer is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!
• Pay: Salaried
• Shifts Available:1st shift M-F Overtime as required
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees to maximize performance and engagement.
- Monitor production schedules and staffing levels to ensure customer demands and production targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality assurance, sanitation
- Conduct regular production floor inspections to identify and address safety, quality, and operational issues.
- Investigate and resolve production delays, equipment issues, quality concerns, and employee performance matters.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze production metrics, downtime, yields, waste, and labor efficiency to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, employee attendance, and performance documentation.
- Lead shift meetings and communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational expectations.
- Train employees on standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
- Ensure proper use of equipment, materials, and resources throughout the manufacturing process.
- Participate in audits and inspections conducted by customers, regulatory agencies, or third-party certification bodies.
- Qualifications Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in food science, Manufacturing, Business, highly preferred
- Experience
- 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience required.
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment preferred.
