Food Production Supervisor Job Summary:
• Pay: Salaried
• Shifts Available:1st shift M-F Overtime as required


  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees to maximize performance and engagement.
  • Monitor production schedules and staffing levels to ensure customer demands and production targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality assurance, sanitation
  • Conduct regular production floor inspections to identify and address safety, quality, and operational issues.
  • Investigate and resolve production delays, equipment issues, quality concerns, and employee performance matters.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyze production metrics, downtime, yields, waste, and labor efficiency to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, employee attendance, and performance documentation.
  • Lead shift meetings and communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational expectations.
  • Train employees on standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment, materials, and resources throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in audits and inspections conducted by customers, regulatory agencies, or third-party certification bodies.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in food science, Manufacturing, Business, highly preferred
  • Experience

  • 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment preferred.
