Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from accredited schools approved by the APTA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC

• New graduates accepted
• First-time travelers accepted

Assignment Details

• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Expected to work 36 hours, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours
• Overtime must be approved by the director before any overtime hours are worked
• No floating to other clinics
• Patient population is 100% outpatient, with 50% post-surgical cases
• Productivity expectation is 60 visits per week
• Expected patient volume is 12-14 patients per day
• Double-booking of follow-up visits is expected

Location Highlights

Tucson offers access to outdoor recreation and regional landmarks. Saguaro National Park borders both the east and west sides of the city, and Sabino Canyon Recreation Area sits about 12 miles from downtown for hiking and tram access. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is located about 15 miles west of central Tucson, and the city’s Fourth Avenue district connects dining, local shops, and streetcar access to the University of Arizona. Mount Lemmon rises to more than 9,000 feet in the Santa Catalina Mountains, and the scenic drive from Tucson takes about one hour for cooler temperatures and trail access. Tucson also provides a desert lifestyle with Tucson International Airport about 8 miles from downtown and day-trip access to Phoenix in under 2 hours by car.
