Iowa Eye Center in Cedar Rapids is now hiring for a full time Insurance Specialist!
Iowa Eye Center is a physician owned practice that sees patients from a large geographic area. Local solo practice ophthalmologists founded the group practice in 1992 and there is a large group of employees that have been here since the beginning. It's a great place to work! There are 8 physicians and over 55 employees. We are currently searching for someone to join our insurance team. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Posting charges and payments
- Insurance Claims submissions
- Investigating Claims denials
- Assisting patients with past due accounts
What we are looking for:
- Someone who has worked in a medical business office setting.
- Experience with ophthalmology and/or Next Gen Practice Management System would be great but not required
- Experience with CPT and ICD10 codes
- Detailed oriented person that likes numbers
- Ability to communication with your co-workers, physicians and medical personnel
- Ability to communication effectively and compassionately with patients
