Premier Financial Search is representing a growing public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its investment funds practice. This is an opportunity to take ownership of sophisticated fund engagements, develop strong client relationships, and lead talented audit teams while continuing to build specialized expertise within the financial services space. The ideal candidate brings strong investment fund audit experience, enjoys mentoring and developing professionals, and is looking for a firm where they can continue advancing their career. Responsibilities Manage audit engagements for private and public investment fund clients from planning through completion. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing responsive, high-quality service. Review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards. Lead engagement teams, including scheduling, delegation, supervision, and review of work. Coach and develop seniors and staff while providing ongoing technical guidance and feedback. Identify accounting, reporting, and audit issues, and collaborate with clients and firm leadership to develop solutions. Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and overall performance. Stay current on accounting and auditing developments affecting investment funds and the financial services industry. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Several years of progressive public accounting audit experience, including experience at the manager level. Meaningful audit experience with investment funds, private equity, hedge funds, or other financial services clients. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and professional auditing standards. Experience managing engagements and supervising audit professionals. Strong client service, communication, organization, and leadership skills. CPA required or strongly preferred. Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Hybrid - 3 days in-office Compensation $120,000 to $132,000, depending on experience.
