\nCapital Health Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director of the Epilepsy Program. This is a senior-level physician responsible for overseeing all clinical, operational, and strategic aspects of the epilepsy service line. This role combines leadership, clinical care, research, and program development to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders.

\nOpportunity Details:

- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for the Epilepsy Program. \n
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary epilepsy care teams, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, EEG technologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. \n
- Direct inpatient and outpatient services, including epilepsy monitoring units (EMU) and surgical programs. \n
- Ensure compliance with national standards and accreditation (e.g., NAEC Level 3 or 4 Epilepsy Center). \n
- Foster clinical excellence through protocol development, quality improvement, and performance metrics. \n
- Oversee and participate in the interpretation of EEGs, video-EEG monitoring, and other neurodiagnostic tests. \n
- Collaborate on clinical trials and epilepsy-related research initiatives. \n
- Serve as a mentor and educator for residents, fellows, and medical students. \n
- Develop community outreach and patient education initiatives. \n
- Collaborate with hospital administration on budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation \n
- Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patients history, examining them and conducting neurological tests \n
- Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies \n
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed \n
- Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patients condition \n
- Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options \n
- Keep accurate patient medical records; completing all necessary documentation to allow for timely and efficient billing and claim submittal \n
- Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology \n
- Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner \n

Qualifications:

- MD/DO Degree \n
- NJ & PA licenses \n
- Board certified Neurology; fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology required \n
- 3+ years of clinical experience in epilepsy care, with leadership preferred \n
- Strong background in EEG Interpretation and epilepsy surgery evaluation. Strong communication skills, highly organized, and highly productive. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build comprehensive care programs \n
