Position Overview The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is recruiting faculty for the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. The position is at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, based on the candidate’s background and experience. Responsibilities Provide excellence in teaching and training of trainees. Engage in academic research with an extramurally funded program. Participate in divisional and departmental activities and demonstrate engagement. Collaborate across basic, translational, and clinical research areas. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required): MD, MD/PhD, or PhD in Gastroenterology or a related health‑related field. Preferred qualifications: active extramural grant funding and research interest in health disparities, community‑based participatory research, and/or older adult populations.
