As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Portage, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare setting, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism and care. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a welcoming environment and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing visitor badges, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate reports and documentation of incidents, access activity, and unusual observations while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
