Job Details
This local CDL yard driver role in Decatur, AL pays $25.50 per hour. You will move and spot trailers throughout a busy plant and distribution yard on a consistent daytime schedule. This TransForce driving opportunity offers a dedicated local assignment with steady yard work and support from the TransForce team.
This role requires a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
Pay & Schedule
- $25.50 per hour
- Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Rotational Saturday coverage based on plant needs
What You'll Be Doing
- Move and position trailers throughout the facility yard.
- Spot trailers at dock doors for loading and unloading.
- Frequently back, couple, and uncouple tractor-trailer equipment.
- Chock trailers after positioning them at dock doors and pull them when loading or unloading is complete.
- Complete equipment inspections and report safety or mechanical concerns.
- Work safely in an active plant and distribution yard.
What You Need
- Valid CDL A
- 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
- Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one
- English-language proficiency as required by DOT regulations
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
