Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or pediatric setting
• Ability to assess, design, and implement individualized physical therapy plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
• Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach to supporting diverse student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine motor development, mobility, and physical needs impacting school participation
• Develop and deliver customized therapy sessions based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school goals
• Work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational and functional objectives
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all services, progress notes, and required reports
• Educate staff and families on mobility strategies, adaptive equipment, and integrating therapy techniques in the classroom
• Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and collaborate on student progress
