Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and medical patients including top diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and pneumonia
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 on days, delivering organized and patient-focused care
• Perform and document IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and other clinical interventions accurately in EPIC EMR
• Operate unit equipment including Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Philips Cardiac Monitor
• Float within the unit as required to support staffing needs
• Nurses caring for pediatric patients must hold current PALS certification

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Maine or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience; travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV skills and telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and accurate clinical documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification (required only if assigned to care for pediatric patients)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical setting
• Familiarity with orthopedic, urology, or general surgery patient populations
